About Us
Space Advisory and Accountancy is a Bristol based practice providing accountancy and business advisory services to individuals and SME’s. The practice is owned and managed by Kerry Hopper FCCA MAAT, a qualified accountant from Bristol.
Kerry has over 12 years’ experience in practice providing audit, accountancy and taxation services to both individuals and small/medium sized owner managed businesses in a number of sectors and industries.
Kerry took the decision to start his own accountancy practice and business advisory service in 2017. He became a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT) in 2009 and then qualified in 2012 as a Chartered Certified Accountant. In 2017, Kerry became a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). While Space Advisory continues to focus on the core areas of accounting and tax compliance, Kerry wanted to provide more to his clients than just a compliance service based on what has happened in the past. He wanted to work with his clients and look into what is happening in the future in order to help grow their business and ultimately, help them to achieve their business goals and aspirations.
Traditional accountancy practice business models find that this hands-on additional service can be costly to the client. This is due to having out of date, inefficient processes and high charge out rates, which are due to recovering expensive premises and software overheads. For the majority of clients, it is not cost effective for your professional advisor to be hands on with your business or tax affairs.
Kerry therefore spent significant time researching how Space Advisory and Accountancy can be efficient in how the business operates efficiently whilst still providing an excellent service.
These efficiencies allow Space Advisory and Accountancy to be more cost effective resulting in clients receiving a more hands-on approach and a helping hand to drive their business forward.
